TEA is an organisation which is owned by the community, and whose purpose is to provide an environment in which individuals can reach their real potential. All staff are to ensure that they treat other staff and clients in an ethical, respectful and fair manner.

Tableland Employment Agencies is a Disability Employment Service (DES). TEA provides an uncapped program which allows eligible people with disability immediate access to the service they need.

Tableland Employment Agencies employment service area (ESA) covers the Atherton Tablelands, from Julatten to Mt Garnet and from Dimbulah to Kuranda.

TEA is funded by the Australian Government; Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). TEA also receives funding from Disability Services Queensland (DSQ).
